Comics have the potential to become a global attraction as well as a means of education for people all over the world, especially if they are accompanied by translations that convey the comic's message. However, when translating comics, it must be done concisely and precisely. There is a limitation in translating a comic that can influence the translator's decision. The purpose of this research is to analyse a translation technique used by translators, specifically in illocutionary acts in the Deadpool versus Carnage comic book, which was published in 2014. This is a qualitative descriptive study. The researcher used the Deadpool versus Carnage comic document in both English and Indonesian versions for this study. Data is gathered through the identification of illocutionary utterances and translation techniques combined with document review. The findings revealed that four of the five types of illocutionary acts, and the researcher discovered five translation techniques out of the 18 techniques found in Deadpool versus Carnage comics. Based on the frequency of use, sequentially the types of illocutionary utterances are directive 31 (46.4%), expressive 20 (29.8%), commissive 10 (14.9%), and representative 6 (8.9%), and also sequentially types of translation techniques literal translation 33 (49.4%), establish equivalent 25 (37.3%), Linguistic compression 5 (7.5%), linguistic amplification 2 (2.9%) and borrowing 2 (2.9%). Translators tend to be oriented towards the source language based on the dominant emerging technique. When translating a comic as type of text translation, there is a limitation similar to subtitle translation, that is limitation of space., the factors that must be considered are the right choice of words and the common terms in the target language so that the meaning received by the reader can be conveyed according to the original author's intent.
