This study is aimed at finding out the English-Indonesian subtitle procedures and analyzing the quality of its subtitle. A qualitative case study is used as a conceptual framework for collecting the data. In order to systematically conduct the study, 300 sentences of the film subtitle are selected by using sampling interval method as the sample to analyze and ten viewers are involved to judge subtitle quality on readability level. Research results show that there are ten procedures used in the movie subtitle. They are literal, transposition, transference, modulation, cultural equivalent, naturalization, paraphrase, reduction, expansion and couplets. From those translation procedures, the procedures mostly used are modulation, literal, couplets and transposition. The rets have usage frequency in the average amount under those four procedures mentioned above. Besides, based on the data taken from 10 viewers, the researcher found that each line of the subtitle is mostly readable or has high readability level where averagely 275 lines and then there are 25 lines having medium readability and none of them has low readability level. Thus the researcher concluded that the subtitle of Cruella movie has high readability level.
