The researcher intends to analyze the translation techniques used in translating the dish names in the bilingual cookbook Jakarta Street food. The goal of analyzing translation techniques is to determine which translation techniques were discovered and how these translation techniques influenced the accurancy and acceptability of translations. This is a descriptive and qualitative study of a single case. In this study, there are two types of data sources. The first data source is a transcription of a bilingual cookbook titled Jakarta Street Food. The rater's information is the second data source. Data was gathered by identifying language units, identifying translation techniques, and administering questionnaires. Data samples were chosen using purposeful sampling. The analysis happened at the same time as the data collection. Spradley's ethnographic analysis model is used in the analysis (Spradley, 1985). The results revealed 12 translation techniques from 57 data. They are established equivalent (16), borrowing (5), description (10), generalization (6), particularization (1), discursive creation (5). reduction + borrowing (1), description + establish equivalent (2), particularization + amplification (1), description + generalization (7), description + particularization (2), and borrowing + establish equivalent (1). The chosen translation techniques have an effect on translation quality, the accuracy 2.61 and the acceptability 2.71. When translating dish names, many factors must be considered, including the importance of understanding the culture of the target language. It is critical to pay attention to selecting appropriate and appropriate words in the target language because the audience's meaning and impression can differ.
