The purpose of this research is to find out what representations are in Yuni's film. What are the implications for the main character in the film. This study used a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the data. In this study, the theory used is textual analysis and gender analysis. Patriarchal culture was analyzed using the theory of Mansur Fakih regarding gender analysis and social transformation. Meanwhile, other data obtained from the film's shot were analyzed using Alan Mckee's textual analysis technique. The concept of patriarchy and women's subordination as well as communication theories such as representation theory and scene, setting, narrative in the film are used as surgical analysis tools in this research, in order to determine the representation of women in the patriarchal culture in the film. From the data analysis, the researcher concludes that the results of this study are 17 data related to patriarchal culture, 4 data about women's movement, 5 data about female productivity and labor, 7 data related to female sexuality and 4 data related to the effect pf patriarchy on the main character in the yuni film. This study finds that Kamila Andini as a director represents women in his films as subordinates, namely women in a lower social caste than men. The subordination of women in this film is manifested in the form of men's control over various aspects of women's lives. Obedient women are the perfect form of control.
